In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving workers' compensation claims, ensuring compliance with company policies and state laws, and providing support and guidance to injured employees.   1. Manage and resolve workers' compensation claims in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Ensure compliance with company policies and state laws regarding workers' compensation.
  3. Provide guidance and support to injured employees throughout the claims process.
  4. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including injured employees, supervisors, medical providers, and insurance carriers.
  5. Investigate and gather information to determine the validity of workers' compensation claims.
  6. Determine appropriate compensation and benefits for injured employees.
  7. Keep accurate and detailed records of all workers' compensation claims.
  8. Collaborate with internal teams, including HR and legal, to ensure proper handling of claims.
  9. Stay up-to-date on workers' compensation laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  10. Identify and implement strategies to reduce the number and severity of workers' compensation claims.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and sensitivity when handling sensitive information related to workers' compensation claims.
  12. Provide excellent customer service to all stakeholders involved in the claims process.
  13. Conduct training for supervisors and employees on workers' compensation policies and procedures.
  14. Act as a point of contact for any workers' compensation-related inquiries or concerns.
  15. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of workers' compensation processes and make recommendations for improvement.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Worker's Compensation Laws And Regulations: A Successful Candidate For This Job Should Have A Strong Understanding Of State And Federal Laws Related To Worker's Compensation Claims, As Well As The Ability To Stay Up-To-Date On Any Changes Or Updates.

  • Experience With Claims Management Software: Many Companies, Including Ryder System, Use Specialized Software To Manage Worker's Compensation Claims. Therefore, A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience With Claims Management Software And Be Able To Quickly Learn And Adapt To New Systems.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: As A Claims Representative, You Will Be Responsible For Communicating With Injured Employees, Medical Professionals, And Insurance Companies. Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, Are Essential For Ensuring Clear And Effective Communication Throughout The Claims Process.

  • Attention To Detail And Analytical Skills: A Worker's Compensation Claims Representative Must Be Detail-Oriented And Have Strong Analytical Skills To Review And Analyze Medical And Legal Documents, As Well As Accurately Calculate Benefits And Payments.

  • Empathy And Conflict Resolution Skills: Dealing With Injured Employees And Their Families Can Be Emotionally Challenging. A Successful Candidate For This Role Should Be Able To Demonstrate Empathy And Have Strong Conflict Resolution Skills To Handle Difficult Situations And Resolve Conflicts Effectively.
