Warehouse Team Lead

- Oversee daily operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping of goods.
- Ensure efficient and timely movement of goods through the warehouse.
- Lead and motivate team members to meet and exceed performance targets.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse processes and procedures.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate tracking of products.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as transportation and customer service, to ensure timely and accurate delivery of products.
- Train and mentor new team members on warehouse processes and safety protocols.
- Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular audits of warehouse operations to identify areas for improvement.
- Maintain accurate records of all warehouse activities, such as inventory levels and employee performance.
- Communicate with management regarding any potential issues or concerns.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and advancements in warehouse management.
- Manage and schedule warehouse staff to ensure adequate coverage and efficient operation.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Other duties as assigned by management.
Prior Experience In A Warehouse Setting: A Warehouse Team Lead At Ryder System Should Have At Least 2-3 Years Of Experience Working In A Warehouse Environment, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Ensures They Have A Thorough Understanding Of Warehouse Operations And Can Effectively Lead And Manage A Team.
Strong Leadership Skills: As A Team Lead, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing And Directing A Team Of Warehouse Workers. Therefore, They Should Possess Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate, Coach, And Provide Constructive Feedback To Team Members.
Excellent Communication Skills: Effective Communication Is Crucial In A Warehouse Environment To Ensure Tasks Are Completed Accurately And Efficiently. A Warehouse Team Lead Should Be Able To Communicate Clearly And Effectively With Their Team, As Well As With Other Departments And Managers.
Knowledge Of Warehouse Technology And Systems: Ryder System Utilizes Advanced Warehouse Technology And Systems, Such As Warehouse Management Software And Automated Equipment. A Qualified Team Lead Should Have A Good Understanding Of These Systems And Be Able To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Role Of A Warehouse Team Lead Requires A High Level Of Attention To Detail To Ensure Inventory Accuracy And Quality Control.
