- Safely and efficiently handle, load, and unload materials in accordance with warehouse procedures and regulations.
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure proper storage and organization of materials.
- Operate warehouse equipment, such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks, in a safe and responsible manner.
- Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders and ensure on-time delivery.
- Inspect and report any damages or discrepancies in received materials.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintain a clean and organized warehouse, including sweeping, dusting, and disposing of waste materials.
- Communicate effectively with team members and management to coordinate daily tasks and workflow.
- Continuously seek opportunities for process improvement to increase efficiency and productivity.
- Assist in other warehouse duties as assigned, including but not limited to packaging, labeling, and shipping.
Experience Operating Forklifts And Other Warehouse Equipment: A Warehouse Material Handler At Ryder System Should Have Previous Experience Operating Forklifts, Pallet Jacks, And Other Equipment Commonly Used In Warehouse Operations.
Knowledge Of Warehouse Safety Procedures: Safety Is A Top Priority At Ryder System, And A Warehouse Material Handler Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Warehouse Safety Protocols And Procedures To Ensure A Safe Work Environment.
Physical Stamina And Ability To Lift Heavy Objects: This Job Requires Physical Strength And Endurance, As Material Handlers Often Need To Lift And Move Heavy Objects Throughout The Day.
Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: Keeping Track Of Inventory, Labeling And Organizing Materials, And Maintaining Accurate Records Are All Essential Tasks For A Warehouse Material Handler, Making Attention To Detail And Strong Organizational Skills Important Qualifications.
