  1. Operate and maintain company vehicles, including trucks with a CDL Class B license, in a safe and efficient manner.
  2. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies at all times.
  3. Transport goods and materials to various locations as assigned, ensuring timely and accurate delivery.
  4. Plan and execute delivery routes to maximize efficiency and meet customer needs.
  5. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and report any maintenance or repair issues promptly.
  6. Maintain accurate records of all deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or delays.
  7. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to provide updates on delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
  8. Adhere to all company and customer-specific procedures for loading and unloading cargo.
  9. Handle and secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transportation.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service by being courteous, professional, and responsive to customer needs.
  12. Troubleshoot and resolve any delivery-related issues in a timely and effective manner.
  13. Stay current on all applicable laws and regulations related to truck driving and transportation.
  14. Attend training and development programs as required by the company.
  15. Collaborate with team members to ensure the overall success of the transportation division.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Cdl Class B License: This Is The Most Basic Requirement For A Truck Driver Position At Ryder System. A Candidate Must Possess A Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) With A Class B Designation.

  • Clean Driving Record: A Candidate Must Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations Or Accidents In The Past Three Years. This Is To Ensure Safety On The Road And Maintain Ryder's Reputation For Responsible And Safe Driving.

  • Experience In Commercial Driving: Prior Experience In Commercial Driving Is Preferred, Especially For Candidates Applying For A Home Daily Position. This Shows That The Candidate Is Familiar With The Demands Of The Job And Can Handle The Responsibilities Efficiently.

  • Ability To Operate And Maintain Equipment: A Truck Driver At Ryder Must Be Able To Operate And Maintain The Company's Equipment, Such As Trucks, Trailers, And Forklifts. This Requires A Certain Level Of Technical Knowledge And Skills.

  • Good Communication And Customer Service Skills: A Truck Driver Must Have Good Communication Skills To Interact With Customers, Dispatchers, And Other Team Members Effectively.
