In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to and from designated locations.   1. Safely and efficiently operate a commercial vehicle to transport goods to and from designated locations.
  2. Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies while driving.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure its safe operation.
  4. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel, and delivery logs.
  5. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  6. Handle any unexpected delivery or logistics challenges in a timely and professional manner.
  7. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and dedication to delivering exceptional customer service.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, both inside and out.
  9. Report any vehicle maintenance or repair needs to the appropriate department.
  10. Follow company procedures for loading and unloading goods from the vehicle.
  11. Represent the company in a professional manner at all times.
  12. Continuously monitor and ensure the safety of the vehicle, goods, and fellow team members.
  13. Keep up-to-date with industry regulations and best practices.
  14. Attend all required training and safety meetings.
  15. Collaborate with other team members to improve efficiency and productivity.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Cdl Class A License: To Be Considered For A Truck Driver Cdl Class A Shuttle Job At Ryder System, Applicants Must Have A Valid Cdl Class A License. This License Allows Drivers To Operate Commercial Vehicles Over 26,000 Pounds, Including Tractor-Trailers And Other Large Trucks.

  • Clean Driving Record: Ryder System Values Safety And Requires All Truck Drivers To Have A Clean Driving Record. This Means No Major Traffic Violations, Accidents, Or Duis Within The Past 3-5 Years. A Good Driving Record Demonstrates Responsibility And Reliability, Which Are Important Qualities For A Truck Driver.

  • Previous Experience: To Be Successful In A Truck Driver Cdl Class A Shuttle Job, Candidates Should Have Previous Experience Driving Similar Vehicles. This Could Include Experience As A Delivery Driver, Long-Haul Truck Driver, Or Shuttle Driver. Experience With Loading And Unloading Freight Is Also Beneficial.

  • Ability To Pass A Background Check And Drug Test: As A Trusted Transportation Company, Ryder System Conducts Thorough Background Checks And Drug Tests On All Potential Employees. A Truck Driver Cdl Class A Shuttle Job Requires A High Level Of Responsibility, So It Is Important For Candidates To Pass These Screenings.
