- Safely operate company trucks in compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
- Plan and execute delivery routes in a timely and efficient manner.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch to provide updates on delivery status and any potential delays.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper weight distribution and securement.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery information.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure the well-being of self, coworkers, and the public.
- Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with customers and other individuals.
- Conduct routine maintenance and report any mechanical issues with the truck.
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
- Continuously seek opportunities to improve and enhance driving skills through training and development programs.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.
- Collaborate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure efficient and accurate loading and unloading of cargo.
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to meeting and exceeding job expectations.
- Embrace the company's values and mission and act as a positive ambassador for the company at all times.
Valid Cdl A License: A Truck Driver Must Possess A Valid Cdl A License To Operate Large Commercial Vehicles, Which Includes Passing Written And Practical Exams.
Clean Driving Record: A Truck Driver Must Have A Clean Driving Record With No Major Traffic Violations Or Accidents In Order To Ensure Safety On The Road.
Experience With Large Commercial Vehicles: Previous Experience Operating Large Commercial Vehicles, Such As Tractor-Trailers, Is Important For Safely Navigating And Maneuvering These Vehicles On The Road.
Ability To Work Weekends: The Job Requires The Truck Driver To Work Weekends, So The Candidate Must Be Available And Willing To Work During This Time.
Familiarity With Delivery Routes And Schedules: Knowledge Of Local Delivery Routes And Schedules Is Important For Efficient And Timely Deliveries, So Prior Experience In The Same Area Is Preferred.
