- Safely and efficiently operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport goods and materials to designated locations within the assigned region.
- Adhere to all federal, state, and local traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures, to ensure the safety of yourself, other drivers, and the general public.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge of all relevant safety regulations and procedures, including proper load securement, vehicle maintenance, and safe driving techniques.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to identify and report any mechanical issues or potential safety hazards.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch, customers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of goods and materials.
- Plan and execute efficient routes to maximize productivity and minimize travel time.
- Keep accurate records of daily activities, including driver logs, mileage, and fuel usage.
- Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck cab and trailer, including conducting routine cleaning and maintenance tasks.
- Continuously monitor and report any changes in road conditions, traffic patterns, or other factors that may affect delivery schedules.
- Act as a brand ambassador for Ryder System, upholding the company's values and commitment to excellence in all interactions with customers and the public.
- Attend mandatory training and safety meetings to stay current on industry regulations and company policies.
- Remain flexible and adaptable to changing schedules and work demands, including occasional overnight stays and weekends.

Valid Class A Cdl License: Candidates Must Possess A Current Class A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) In Order To Operate Commercial Vehicles.
Clean Driving Record: A Clean Driving Record With No Major Violations Or Accidents Is Essential For A Truck Driver Position. This Includes A History Of Safe Driving And Adherence To All Traffic Laws.
Experience With Regional Driving: Candidates Should Have Experience With Regional Driving, Which Involves Long-Distance Trips Within A Specific Region Or Area. This Requires Knowledge Of Specific Routes And Regulations For Different States And Cities.
Strong Communication Skills: Truck Drivers Must Have Excellent Communication Skills In Order To Effectively Communicate With Dispatchers, Customers, And Other Drivers On The Road. This Includes The Ability To Understand And Follow Directions, As Well As Report Any Issues Or Concerns.
