Are you a reliable and experienced CDL A truck driver looking for a local, no touch driving opportunity? Look no further than Ryder System! We are currently seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Truck Driver CDL A Local No Touch. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently operating a commercial vehicle to transport goods to various destinations in the local area. Our ideal candidate has a valid CDL A license, a clean driving record, and a strong work ethic.   1. Safely operate a commercial vehicle in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations
  2. Transport goods to various destinations in the local area
  3. Adhere to company policies and procedures for loading, unloading, and securing cargo
  4. Maintain accurate records of routes, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance
  5. Ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods to customers
  6. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the safety and functionality of the vehicle
  7. Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery status
  8. Maintain a clean and organized vehicle at all times
  9. Demonstrate a strong work ethic and commitment to safe driving practices
  10. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times
  11. Report any accidents, incidents, or traffic violations immediately to management
  12. Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations regarding transportation and commercial vehicle operations
  13. Continuously strive to improve efficiency and productivity in daily tasks
  14. Attend company training and meetings as required
  15. Maintain a valid CDL A license and a clean driving record.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Cdl Class A License: A Truck Driver For Ryder System Must Possess A Valid Cdl Class A License, Which Allows Them To Operate A Commercial Vehicle With A Gross Weight Of 26,001 Pounds Or More.

  • Clean Driving Record: Candidates Must Have A Clean Driving Record With No Serious Traffic Violations, Accidents, Or Duis Within The Past 3 Years. A Clean Driving Record Demonstrates Responsibility And Safe Driving Practices.

  • Experience With No-Touch Freight: Ryder System Is Seeking Candidates With Experience In Handling No-Touch Freight. This Means The Driver Will Not Have To Load Or Unload The Cargo, Making It A Less Physically Demanding Job.

  • Familiarity With Local Routes And Regulations: As A Local Truck Driver, Knowledge Of Local Routes And Regulations Is Essential. Candidates Should Be Familiar With The Roads, Traffic Patterns, And Any Restrictions Or Regulations Specific To Their Local Area.

  • Physical Fitness: Truck Driving Is A Physically Demanding Job, So Candidates Should Be Able To Pass A Physical Exam And Be In Good Physical Condition. This Includes The Ability To Lift Heavy Loads, Sit For Extended Periods, And Perform Other Physical Tasks As Required.
