- Operate a commercial motor vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, following all traffic laws and company policies and procedures.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, reporting any issues or concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Safely and timely transport goods and materials to designated locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients and representing the company in a professional manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of deliveries, including mileage, fuel consumption, and any incidents or accidents that may occur.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
- Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out, to ensure a professional and presentable appearance.
- Collaborate with dispatchers and other team members to ensure efficient and timely delivery of goods and materials.
- Continuously monitor traffic and weather conditions to determine the most efficient and safe routes for transportation.
- Attend training sessions and safety meetings as required by the company to stay up-to-date on industry regulations and best practices.
- Serve as a positive representative of Ryder System, promoting the company's values and mission.
- Adhere to all DOT and FMCSA regulations, including hours of service, vehicle weight limits, and required documentation.
- Maintain a valid CDL A license and any other necessary certifications or endorsements.
- Uphold the company's policies and procedures, including but not limited to attendance, punctuality, and dress code.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and provide feedback to management to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the company's operations.
Valid Cdl Class A License: This Is A Basic Requirement For Any Truck Driving Position. A Cdl Class A License Allows The Driver To Operate Vehicles Over 26,001 Pounds, Including Tractor-Trailers And Other Large Commercial Vehicles.
