  1. Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle (CMV) with a valid CDL A license.
  2. Deliver goods to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Follow all traffic laws and company safety regulations to ensure safe transportation of goods.
  4. Maintain a clean driving record and comply with all state and federal regulations.
  5. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure proper functioning and report any issues.
  6. Communicate effectively with dispatch and other team members to coordinate delivery schedules and resolve any issues.
  7. Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods with care and professionalism.
  8. Adhere to company policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
  9. Keep accurate records of deliveries and submit all required paperwork in a timely manner.
  10. Perform basic vehicle maintenance, such as checking and refilling fluids and reporting any mechanical issues.
  11. Participate in ongoing training and development to maintain and improve job skills.
  12. Represent the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
  13. Maintain a strong work ethic and contribute to a positive and productive team environment.
  14. Continuously strive for customer satisfaction and contribute to the company's overall success.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) Class A: A Cdl A License Is The Minimum Requirement For A Truck Driver Position At Ryder System. This License Is Obtained After Completing A Training Program And Passing A Written And Practical Test.

  • Clean Driving Record: A Clean Driving Record Is Essential For A Cdl A Truck Driver As It Demonstrates Responsible And Safe Driving Habits. Ryder System May Require Candidates To Provide A Motor Vehicle Report (Mvr) As Part Of The Application Process.

  • Experience In Truck Driving: Previous Experience In Truck Driving, Particularly With A Cdl A License, Is Highly Valued By Ryder System. This Experience Can Include Driving Different Types Of Trucks, Handling Different Cargo, And Driving In Various Weather And Road Conditions.

  • Physical Fitness: Truck Driving Is A Physically Demanding Job That Requires Drivers To Sit For Long Periods, Load And Unload Cargo, And Perform Basic Vehicle Maintenance Tasks. Ryder System May Require Candidates To Pass A Physical Fitness Test To Ensure They Are Able To Handle The Physical Demands Of The Job.
