Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Truck Driver with a CDL A license to join our team at Ryder System.   1. Operate and drive commercial trucks to transport goods and materials to and from various locations.
  2. Adhere to all safety regulations and traffic laws while operating the truck.
  3. Inspect trucks before and after each trip to ensure proper functioning and report any mechanical issues.
  4. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to plan routes and deliveries.
  5. Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  6. Complete all necessary paperwork and maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  7. Follow company policies and procedures for handling and securing goods.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.
  9. Ensure timely delivery of goods to designated locations.
  10. Monitor and report any issues or delays encountered during transportation.
  11. Follow all required maintenance schedules and report any maintenance needs.
  12. Adhere to company policies and procedures regarding safety, vehicle maintenance, and proper use of equipment.
  13. Attend training and safety meetings as required.
  14. Maintain a professional and positive attitude at all times.
  15. Represent the company in a professional manner when interacting with customers and the public.
