Job Description

As one of the leading transportation and logistics companies in the country, we are seeking a reliable and dedicated individual to join our team as a Truck Driver CDL A Daily No Touch. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently delivering goods to our customers while enjoying daily no touch freight.   1. Safely operate a CDL A truck to transport goods to various destinations according to schedule.
  2. Adhere to all traffic and safety laws and regulations while on the road.
  3. Inspect truck and trailer before and after each trip to ensure proper functionality and report any issues to management.
  4. Load and unload goods using appropriate equipment and techniques.
  5. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery times.
  6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate deliveries.
  7. Follow company policies and procedures, including proper handling and reporting of any accidents, incidents, or delays.
  8. Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.
  9. Report any vehicle maintenance needs or issues to management.
  10. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  11. Maintain a strong work ethic and positive attitude while working independently and as part of a team.
  12. Adhere to all company and industry regulations regarding transportation of goods, including load securement and weight restrictions.
  13. Demonstrate a commitment to safety and safe driving practices.
  14. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing schedules, routes, and delivery requirements.
  15. Continuously strive for efficiency and productivity while maintaining a high level of quality in all aspects of the job.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Commercial Driver's License (Cdl) Class A: This Is A Basic Requirement For Any Truck Driver At Ryder System. The Candidate Must Have A Valid Cdl Class A License With A Clean Driving Record.

  • Prior Truck Driving Experience: Ryder System Requires At Least 2 Years Of Verifiable Truck Driving Experience For Their Cdl A Daily No Touch Job. This Experience Should Be In A Similar Environment And Preferably With A Large Trucking Company.

  • Good Physical Health: Truck Driving Can Be A Physically Demanding Job, And Ryder System Looks For Candidates Who Are Physically Fit And Able To Handle The Demands Of The Job. This Includes Being Able To Lift And Move Heavy Objects And Sitting For Long Periods Of Time.

  • Knowledge Of Dot Regulations: As A Truck Driver, It Is Important To Have A Thorough Understanding Of Department Of Transportation (Dot) Regulations. This Includes Hours Of Service, Vehicle Inspections, And Other Safety Rules And Regulations.

  • Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills: Truck Drivers At Ryder System Are Often The Face Of The Company, Interacting With Customers And Representing The Brand. Therefore, Strong Communication And Customer Service Skills Are Highly Valued And Necessary For Success In This Role.
