Job Description

  1. Safely operate a commercial motor vehicle in compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
  2. Transport goods and products to designated locations in a timely and efficient manner.
  3. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  4. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols and delivery schedules.
  5. Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and other important information.
  6. Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members to ensure smooth and efficient delivery operations.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized truck, both inside and out.
  8. Follow all traffic laws and regulations, including hours of service restrictions.
  9. Report any vehicle malfunctions, accidents, or delays to the appropriate parties.
  10. Represent the company in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
  11. Adhere to all customer-specific requirements and delivery instructions.
  12. Participate in ongoing training and development to improve driving skills and knowledge.
  13. Observe and report any potential safety hazards or violations.
  14. Maintain a valid CDL license and necessary endorsements.
  15. Comply with all DOT regulations and ensure the safe handling and transportation of hazardous materials, if applicable.
  16. Assist with loading and unloading of goods and products when necessary.
  17. Keep abreast of changes in traffic patterns or road conditions and adjust routes as needed.
  18. Maintain regular communication with the transportation department regarding delays, issues, and concerns.
  19. Perform any other duties as assigned by the company.
