  1. Oversee and manage all shipping and receiving operations for the company.
  2. Ensure timely and accurate processing of all incoming and outgoing shipments.
  3. Coordinate with various departments to ensure proper handling and delivery of shipments.
  4. Maintain an organized and efficient warehouse, including monitoring inventory levels and tracking shipments.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
  6. Monitor and enforce safety protocols and procedures within the shipping and receiving department.
  7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with company policies and procedures.
  8. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues or discrepancies with shipments.
  9. Collaborate with vendors and carriers to negotiate competitive rates and improve transportation processes.
  10. Train and mentor new team members on shipping and receiving procedures.
  11. Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records and documentation.
  12. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
  13. Adhere to all company standards and regulations, including those related to quality and safety.
  14. Participate in regular meetings and provide updates on shipping and receiving operations.
  15. Handle any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

  • Experience In Logistics And/Or Supply Chain Management: A Shipping Receiving Coordinator At Ryder System Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Logistics And Supply Chain Processes, Including Transportation, Warehousing, And Inventory Management.

  • Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills: This Role Requires Keeping Track Of Multiple Shipments, Inventory Levels, And Documentation. Strong Attention To Detail And Organizational Skills Are Essential To Ensure Accuracy And Efficiency In The Shipping And Receiving Process.

  • Knowledge Of Shipping And Receiving Software: Familiarity With Shipping And Receiving Software, Such As Sap Or Oracle, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Allows For Better Tracking, Planning, And Reporting Of Shipments And Inventory.

  • Communication And Interpersonal Skills: A Shipping Receiving Coordinator Needs To Collaborate With Various Stakeholders, Including Warehouse Staff, Transportation Carriers, And Customers. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Crucial To Ensure A Smooth And Timely Shipping And Receiving Process.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Ryder System Is A Leading Logistics Company, And The Shipping And Receiving Process Can Be Fast-Paced And Demanding. The Ideal Candidate Should Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And Handle Multiple Tasks Efficiently To Meet Tight Deadlines.
