- Develop and implement comprehensive physical security policies and procedures for all Ryder facilities.
- Oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of all physical security systems, including access control, video surveillance, and intrusion detection.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and make recommendations for improvements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of security protocols with business objectives.
- Manage relationships with external security vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective services.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in physical security, and make recommendations for implementing new technologies and processes.
- Create and maintain emergency response plans and conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness in the event of a security breach.
- Train employees on security protocols and procedures, and provide ongoing education and awareness programs.
- Monitor and analyze security data, such as incident reports and security logs, to identify patterns and trends and take appropriate action.
- Communicate and collaborate with law enforcement and other external agencies as needed.
- Develop and manage the physical security budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are in place.
- Lead and develop a team of security professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to physical security.
- Foster a culture of safety and security throughout the organization.
- Continuously review and improve physical security processes and procedures to ensure the highest level of protection for employees, assets, and operations.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Physical Security Systems: The Manager Of Physical Security Infrastructure Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Physical Security Systems, Such As Access Control, Video Surveillance, Intrusion Detection, And Alarm Systems. They Should Also Have Hands-On Experience In Designing, Implementing, And Managing These Systems.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: This Role Requires The Ability To Analyze Complex Security Challenges And Develop Effective Solutions. The Manager Of Physical Security Infrastructure Should Be Able To Think Critically And Make Sound Decisions In High-Pressure Situations.
Knowledge Of Industry Best Practices And Regulations: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Industry Standards And Regulations Related To Physical Security, Such As Iso 27001, Nist, And Gdpr. They Should Also Stay Updated On The Latest Trends And Technologies In The Field.
