- Operate forklift in a safe and responsible manner, adhering to all company and OSHA safety protocols.
- Efficiently load and unload materials onto trucks, shelves, and other designated areas.
- Ensure accurate and timely movement and storage of materials according to company standards.
- Maintain forklift equipment by performing regular maintenance and inspection checks.
- Follow inventory control procedures to accurately track and record materials.
- Communicate with warehouse team and supervisors to prioritize and fulfill orders.
- Adhere to warehouse and company policies and procedures to maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Identify and report any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions to supervisors immediately.
- Continuously monitor inventory levels and report any discrepancies to warehouse management.
- Cross-train in other warehouse roles as needed to support team and meet business needs.
- Maintain accurate records of materials moved, storage locations, and other relevant data.
- Follow all traffic and safety laws while operating forklift both inside and outside of the warehouse.
- Assist with training and mentoring new forklift operators.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment by actively participating in team meetings and offering suggestions for process improvement.
- Maintain a professional and courteous demeanor when interacting with customers and other team members.
Valid Forklift Operator Certification: To Be Qualified For A Forklift Operator Job At Ryder System, Candidates Must Possess A Valid Forklift Operator Certification. This Ensures That They Have Received Proper Training And Are Knowledgeable In Safe Forklift Operation.
Previous Forklift Operation Experience: Having Previous Experience Operating A Forklift Is Highly Desirable For A Forklift Operator Position At Ryder System. This Demonstrates The Candidate's Proficiency And Familiarity With The Equipment.
