  1. Safely operate forklifts to move materials within the warehouse, following all safety guidelines and procedures.
  2. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance on forklift equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
  3. Load and unload materials from trucks and other containers, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  4. Organize and maintain warehouse inventory, ensuring proper placement and tracking of materials.
  5. Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to coordinate daily tasks and prioritize workload.
  6. Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including those related to safety, attendance, and performance.
  7. Maintain a clean and organized work area, promoting a safe and efficient work environment.
  8. Respond quickly and effectively to any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards.
  9. Continuously monitor and report any inventory discrepancies or damages to materials.
  10. Utilize warehouse management systems and other technology to accurately track and record inventory movements.
  11. Assist with training and mentoring new forklift operators as needed.
  12. Demonstrate a strong understanding of warehouse operations and contribute ideas for process improvements.
  13. Comply with all applicable regulations and laws related to forklift operation and warehouse operations.
  14. Meet productivity and performance goals set by supervisors and contribute to the overall success of the team.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company in a positive manner.

Job Qualifications

  • Valid Forklift Certification: The Ideal Candidate Should Possess A Valid Forklift Operator Certification From A Recognized Training Institute. This Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Operate A Forklift Safely And Efficiently.

  • Prior Experience: A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Operating Forklifts Is Preferred For This Role. This Will Show That The Candidate Has A Good Understanding Of The Equipment And Can Handle Different Types Of Loads And Environments.

  • Physical Fitness: The Job Of A Forklift Operator Requires Physical Strength And Stamina. The Candidate Should Be Physically Fit And Able To Lift Heavy Loads, Stand For Long Periods, And Maneuver The Forklift In Tight Spaces.

  • Attention To Detail: A Forklift Operator Needs To Be Detail-Oriented And Have Excellent Hand-Eye Coordination. They Must Be Able To Follow Safety Protocols And Pay Attention To Their Surroundings While Operating The Forklift To Avoid Accidents.

  • Team Player: Forklift Operators Work Closely With Other Warehouse Staff, Truck Drivers, And Supervisors. The Ideal Candidate Should Have Good Communication Skills And Be Able To Work Well In A Team Environment To Ensure Smooth Operations And Timely Delivery Of Goods.
