- Operate forklift in a safe and responsible manner, following all company and industry safety protocols.
- Efficiently and accurately move materials and products throughout the warehouse, including loading and unloading trucks, organizing and storing inventory, and transporting materials to designated areas.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all warehouse cleanliness and organization standards.
- Monitor forklift equipment and report any malfunctions or necessary maintenance to the appropriate personnel.
- Follow all company policies and procedures, including but not limited to time and attendance, quality, and productivity standards.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members to ensure smooth operations and timely completion of tasks.
- Adhere to all material handling guidelines and regulations, ensuring the proper handling and transport of all materials.
- Inspect and report any damaged or defective materials to supervisors.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge related to forklift operation and material handling, staying up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and implement process improvements, increasing efficiency and productivity.
Valid Forklift Operator Certification: The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Forklift Operator Certification From A Reputable Organization, Demonstrating Their Knowledge And Experience In Operating Forklifts Safely And Efficiently.
Prior Experience In Material Handling: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Previous Experience In Material Handling, Preferably In A Warehouse Or Distribution Center Setting. This Experience Will Enable Them To Quickly Adapt To Ryder System's Processes And Procedures.
Physical Stamina And Strength: As A Forklift Operator Material Handler, The Candidate Will Be Required To Lift And Move Heavy Objects On A Regular Basis. Therefore, They Should Have The Physical Stamina And Strength To Perform These Tasks Safely And Consistently.
Attention To Detail: The Candidate Should Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure Accurate Inventory Management And Prevent Potential Accidents Or Damages During Material Handling. This Also Includes The Ability To Read And Interpret Product Labels And Documents Accurately.
