  1. Oversee and supervise the fleet maintenance operations on the 2nd shift, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and according to company standards.
  2. Develop and implement maintenance processes and procedures to optimize fleet performance and minimize downtime.
  3. Lead and mentor a team of maintenance technicians, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high-quality work.
  4. Monitor and analyze maintenance data to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  5. Collaborate with other departments, such as logistics and procurement, to ensure smooth and timely fleet maintenance operations.
  6. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
  7. Manage and maintain inventory levels for necessary parts and equipment, coordinating with suppliers as needed.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of fleet vehicles to identify and address any maintenance needs.
  9. Monitor and manage the budget for fleet maintenance operations, ensuring cost-effective practices.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in fleet maintenance technology, making recommendations for implementation as needed.
  11. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and open communication among team members.
  12. Represent Ryder System in a professional manner and maintain positive relationships with clients and vendors.
  13. Handle any escalated issues or concerns from team members or clients, providing timely and effective resolutions.
  14. Perform any other duties or responsibilities as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications
  • Previous Experience In Fleet Maintenance: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Fleet Maintenance Operations, With A Strong Understanding Of Maintenance Processes And Procedures.

  • Leadership And Management Skills: The Fleet Maintenance Operations Supervisor Should Have Experience Managing A Team Of Technicians And Other Staff Members, As Well As The Ability To Lead By Example And Motivate Employees To Achieve Goals.

  • Technical Knowledge And Expertise: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Diesel Engines, Transmissions, Electrical Systems, And Other Components Commonly Found In Commercial Vehicles. This Knowledge Is Essential For Troubleshooting And Overseeing Repairs.

  • Organizational And Time-Management Skills: As The 2Nd Shift Supervisor, The Candidate Should Be Able To Efficiently Plan And Prioritize Tasks, Delegate Responsibilities, And Ensure That All Work Is Completed On Time And To The Required Standards.

  • Safety And Compliance Knowledge: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Safety Regulations And Compliance Requirements Related To Fleet Maintenance Operations. This Includes Knowledge Of Osha Regulations, Dot Requirements, And Environmental Regulations.
