As a Diesel Mechanic Technician at Ryder System, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining diesel engines and related equipment.   • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues with diesel engines and related equipment

  • Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and resolve technical problems
  • Communicate effectively with team members and managers regarding repair timelines and potential issues
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections performed
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles
  • Continuously monitor and assess the performance of diesel engines and make recommendations for improvements or replacements
  • Stay up-to-date on industry developments and advancements in diesel engine technology
  • Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet

Job Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Qualification Is Necessary For A Diesel Mechanic Technician Role. A High School Diploma Or Ged Certification Provides A Solid Foundation For Learning Technical Skills And Working In A Team Environment.

  • Technical Training Or Certification: To Become A Diesel Mechanic Technician, Candidates Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of Diesel Engines And Related Equipment. Technical Training Or Certification From An Accredited Institution Is Preferred, As It Demonstrates A High Level Of Knowledge And Expertise In The Field.
