  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related components, including but not limited to brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and fuel systems.
  2. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues using various diagnostic tools and equipment.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to identify any potential issues and make necessary repairs.
  4. Follow company and industry safety protocols and guidelines to ensure the safety of yourself and others while working.
  5. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on vehicles.
  6. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to coordinate repairs and ensure smooth operations.
  7. Stay up-to-date on industry developments and technological advancements in diesel engine maintenance and repair.
  8. Train and mentor junior technicians to develop their skills and knowledge.
  9. Follow all company policies and procedures to maintain a professional and efficient work environment.
  10. Provide excellent customer service by maintaining a positive and helpful attitude towards customers and addressing their concerns in a timely and effective manner.

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Diesel Engine Systems: A Diesel Mechanic Master Technician At Ryder System Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Inner Workings Of Diesel Engines, Including Fuel Systems, Electrical Systems, And Emissions Control Systems.

  • Strong Diagnostic And Troubleshooting Skills: As A Master Technician, This Individual Should Have The Ability To Quickly And Accurately Diagnose Issues With Diesel Engines And Develop Effective Solutions.

  • Proficiency In Using Diagnostic Equipment: Ryder System Expects Its Master Technicians To Be Able To Use A Variety Of Diagnostic Tools, Such As Computerized Engine Analyzers, To Identify And Address Mechanical Issues.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Safety Protocols: Diesel Engines Can Be Dangerous To Work With, And A Master Technician At Ryder System Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Safety Protocols To Ensure The Well-Being Of Themselves And Others.

  • Relevant Certifications And Experience: Ryder System May Require Its Master Technicians To Have Certifications From Organizations Such As The National Institute For Automotive Service Excellence (Ase) Or The National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation (Natef). Additionally, Previous Experience Working With Diesel Engines And A Track Record Of Successfully Completing Complex Repairs Is Highly Desirable.
