- Conduct regular maintenance and repair of fleet of diesel trucks and vehicles.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic equipment and manual techniques.
- Perform scheduled maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake replacements.
- Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they meet safety and emission standards.
- Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance, and inspections.
- Order and maintain inventory of parts and supplies.
- Communicate with management and other team members to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while working on vehicles.
- Continuously improve skills and knowledge through training and staying up-to-date on industry developments.

High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Basic Educational Qualification Is Necessary For A Diesel Mechanic Position At Ryder System. A High School Diploma Or Ged Ensures That The Candidate Has Basic Reading, Writing, And Mathematical Skills Required For The Job.
Technical Training In Diesel Mechanics: A Candidate Must Have Completed A Technical Training Program In Diesel Mechanics. This Could Include A Certificate Or Associate Degree In Diesel Technology From An Accredited Institution. This Qualification Ensures That The Candidate Has The Necessary Knowledge And Skills To Perform The Job Duties Effectively.
