  1. Develop and implement continuous improvement strategies and initiatives across all departments and processes within the organization.
  2. Conduct thorough analysis and assessments of existing processes and identify areas for improvement.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, identify process bottlenecks, and develop improvement plans.
  4. Utilize Lean and Six Sigma methodologies to streamline processes, reduce waste, and improve efficiency.
  5. Create and maintain project plans, timelines, and budgets for continuous improvement projects.
  6. Train and educate employees and managers on continuous improvement principles and techniques.
  7. Monitor and track progress and results of improvement initiatives, and report on key metrics to senior management.
  8. Identify and implement best practices and industry standards to drive continuous improvement efforts.
  9. Serve as a change agent and drive a culture of continuous improvement throughout the organization.
  10. Stay updated on industry trends, technologies, and techniques related to continuous improvement.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Engineering: A Degree In Engineering, Specifically Industrial Or Mechanical Engineering, Is Typically Required For A Continuous Improvement Engineer Position At Ryder System. This Provides A Strong Foundation In Technical Knowledge And Problem-Solving Skills.

  • Lean Six Sigma Certification: Ryder System Values Individuals Who Have A Strong Understanding Of Lean Six Sigma Principles And Methodologies. A Certification In Lean Six Sigma Demonstrates A Commitment To Continuous Improvement And The Ability To Identify And Eliminate Waste In Processes.

  • Experience In Process Improvement: Candidates For A Continuous Improvement Engineer Position Should Have Prior Experience In Process Improvement, Preferably In A Manufacturing Or Logistics Environment. This Experience Should Include Identifying Inefficiencies, Implementing Solutions, And Measuring Results.
