As a Yard Driver, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient movement of our fleet within the yard. - Safely and efficiently operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle to move and position company equipment within the yard.
- Adhere to all company and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any issues to management.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date vehicle logs, trip reports, and other required documentation.
- Communicate effectively with management and other team members to coordinate movement of equipment.
- Follow established procedures for equipment positioning and storage to maintain organization and efficiency in the yard.
- Assist with loading and unloading of equipment onto trailers as needed.
- Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or damages to management.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to customer service and uphold the company's high standards of service.
- Display a positive and professional attitude when interacting with colleagues and customers.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and actively participate in company training programs.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures.
- Flexible to work night shifts and weekends as required.
- Possess a valid Class A CDL and maintain a clean driving record.

- Follow all state, federal, and company regulations, policies, and procedures for the transportation and handling of goods.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (Cdl): This Is A Must-Have Qualification For A Class A Night Shift Yard Driver Position At Ryder System. The Candidate Should Possess A Valid Cdl With No Major Violations Or Suspensions.
Minimum Of 1 Year Of Driving Experience: As A Class A Night Shift Yard Driver, The Candidate Should Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Driving Commercial Vehicles. This Will Ensure They Have The Necessary Skills And Knowledge To Safely Operate Large Trucks And Trailers.
Clean Driving Record: A Clean Driving Record Is Essential For This Position As The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Transporting Goods And Equipment On Public Roads. Any Accidents Or Violations On Their Record Could Disqualify Them From The Job.
Ability To Work Night Shifts: The Primary Requirement For This Role Is To Work Night Shifts, Usually From 10 Pm To 6 Am. The Candidate Should Be Able To Adjust Their Sleep Schedule And Be Available To Work During These Hours.
Strong Communication And Organizational Skills: As A Class A Night Shift Yard Driver, The Candidate Will Be Required To Communicate With Dispatchers And Other Team Members. They Should Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Stay Organized And Manage Their Time Effectively.
