Job Description

Roblox is looking for a passionate Senior Scientist / Economist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of Roblox, the world's leading social gaming platform.As a Senior Scientist / Economist, you will be responsible for providing and applying economic research and analysis to inform Roblox’s product strategy. The ideal candidate will have a combination of quantitative skills and strong communication skills, enabling them to use data to determine the direction of our products.We are looking for someone who is motivated by the challenge of working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, and who can work with cross functional teams to drive business strategy.To be successful as a Senior Scientist / Economist, you should have an advanced degree in economics, mathematics, statistics, or a related field with a minimum of 8 years’ experience in economics and analytics. You should also have a strong knowledge of economic theory and a proven track record of using data to inform decisions. You must have excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities:

Provide economic research and analysis to inform Roblox’s product strategy.
Use data to determine the direction of our products.
Work with cross functional teams to drive business strategy.
Develop and implement economic theories and models to inform product strategy.
Analyze market trends and customer behavior to identify new opportunities.
Collect and analyze data to measure the impact of product changes.
Collaborate with stakeholders to develop strategies for product launches.
Prepare reports and presentations to provide economic insights and recommendations.
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends and economic developments.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior economists.
