Develop and implement strategies for maintaining a safe and positive community on the Roblox platform.
Oversee a team of moderation operations specialists, including hiring, training, and managing their performance.
Enforce community guidelines and policies to ensure a respectful and inclusive environment for all users.
Handle sensitive user issues, including investigating reports of abuse and misconduct.
Develop and implement proactive measures to prevent and respond to potential safety concerns.
Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and trends in moderation operations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as customer support and product development, to address user concerns and improve the overall user experience.
Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify areas for improvement in moderation operations.
Provide guidance and support to team members in handling complex or high-risk situations.
Foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within the moderation operations team.
Communicate regularly with senior management on the status of moderation operations and any potential risks or concerns.
Act as a point of contact for external partners, such as law enforcement, regarding moderation operations.
Lead by example in upholding the values and mission of Roblox in all aspects of moderation operations.
Act as a representative of the company in public forums and events related to moderation and online safety.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Content Moderation: The Senior Manager Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Content Moderation Policies, Procedures, And Best Practices. They Should Have A Track Record Of Successfully Managing Large Moderation Teams And Handling Complex Moderation Issues.
Strong Leadership Skills: The Senior Manager Should Have A Proven Ability To Lead And Manage A Team Of Moderators Effectively. This Includes Setting Clear Goals, Providing Guidance And Support, And Fostering A Positive And Inclusive Work Culture.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Online Safety And Community Standards: The Senior Manager Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Online Safety And Community Standards, Especially As It Relates To A Global User Base. They Should Be Able To Develop And Implement Policies And Processes To Ensure A Safe And Positive Experience For All Users.
Excellent Communication And Problem-Solving Skills: The Senior Manager Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Communicate With Internal And External Stakeholders. They Should Also Have Strong Problem-Solving Abilities To Handle Complex And Sensitive Issues That May Arise.
Experience In Trust And Safety Operations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In Trust And Safety Operations, Including Fraud Detection, User Reporting, And Enforcement Of Policies. They Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Industry Trends And Best Practices In Trust And Safety.
