Collaborate with other team members to drive innovation and growth within the developer community on the Roblox platform.
Engage with the developer community to understand their needs and preferences, and use this knowledge to inform platform improvements and updates.
Serve as a liaison between the development team and the wider community, providing updates and gathering feedback on behalf of both parties.
Actively seek out and cultivate relationships with potential new developers and content creators.
Develop and execute strategies to increase developer engagement and retention.
Work closely with the product and engineering teams to identify and prioritize platform improvements and features that will benefit the developer community.
Create and maintain documentation and resources for developers, such as tutorials, best practices, and guidelines.
Actively participate in the developer community through events, forums, and social media to build relationships and gather feedback.
Monitor and analyze developer activity and trends to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
Collaborate with the marketing team to promote developer success stories and highlight the benefits of the platform to potential new developers.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in software development and developer engagement to continuously improve and evolve the role and responsibilities.
Act as an advocate for both the developer community and the Roblox platform, effectively communicating the benefits and value of the platform to external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications

Strong Technical Background: A Successful Candidate For A Developer Engagement Team Role At Roblox Should Possess A Strong Technical Background, With Experience In Software Development And Programming Languages Such As Lua, C++, And Javascript.
Excellent Communication Skills: As A Contract Developer Engagement Team Member, Effective Communication Is Crucial In Building Relationships With External Developers. The Ability To Clearly And Concisely Convey Technical Information And Provide Support Is Essential.
Prior Experience In Developer Relations: Candidates Should Have Prior Experience In Developer Relations Or Community Management Roles, Preferably In The Gaming Industry. This Will Demonstrate An Understanding Of The Unique Needs And Challenges Of Developers And The Ability To Effectively Engage With Them.
Passion For Gaming And The Roblox Platform: A Successful Candidate Should Have A Deep Passion For Gaming And The Roblox Platform. This Will Not Only Make Them More Effective In Their Role But Also Help Them Connect With And Understand The Needs Of Developers.
Self-Motivated And Adaptable: The Roblox Platform Is Constantly Evolving, And The Developer Community Is Constantly Growing. A Successful Candidate Should Be Self-Motivated, Adaptable, And Able To Keep Up With The Fast-Paced Nature Of The Gaming Industry. They Should Also Be Able To Work Independently As A Contractor, While Also Being A Team Player When Needed.
