At Roblox, we are looking for a passionate and dedicated Data Scientist to join our Trust & Safety team and help drive our mission to make the internet a safer place for kids. Our ideal candidate is an experienced problem-solver and data analyst with a proven track record of developing and deploying machine learning models to solve complex safety problems.The successful candidate will have an impressive portfolio of work in the fields of machine learning, data mining, and data analysis, combined with a deep understanding of child safety and online trust & safety best practices. The Data Scientist, Trust & Safety - Child Safety will be tasked with identifying, analyzing, and predicting online safety risks and opportunities. They will develop and implement predictive and prescriptive algorithms and models, and measure the effectiveness of safety initiatives.Required Qualifications:• Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field• At least 3 years of relevant experience in data science, data mining, machine learning, and predictive analytics• Strong knowledge of machine learning algorithms, data mining techniques, and statistical modeling• Expertise in coding, scripting, and software development• Previous experience working with large-scale data sets and data visualization• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, stakeholders, and executive leadership• A passion for child safety and protecting kids online
