
Animal Services Director
The Animal Services Director manages, directs, and controls animal service activities, programs and operations. The position is responsible for oversight of three operational divisions including Animal Control Field and Shelter Services, Administrative Services, and Veterinarian Services, and ensures that Animal Services policies and procedures are designed and implemented to meet the needs of Riverside County and its residents. Enforce federal, State, and local laws and ordinances relating to animal control services. Identify problem areas and develop resolutions and enhancement to operations; monitor, evaluate and recommend methods for improving the efficiency of services provided.
4 years of experience in a management or administrative capacity in a public sector organization
Knowledge of State laws relating to State/County Animal Control/Rabies Enforcement, and Fish and Game programs
Experience working with organized volunteer groups, spay/neuter and adoption programs
