1. Research and Curate Textile Selection: Conduct research and stay up-to-date on current trends and innovations in the textile industry. Utilize this knowledge to curate a selection of high-quality and on-trend fabrics and textiles for our products.
2. Source Fabrics and Textiles: Build and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to source the best fabrics and textiles for our brand. Negotiate prices and terms to ensure the highest quality materials at the best value.
3. Quality Control: Work closely with the Quality Assurance team to ensure all fabrics and textiles meet our standards for quality and durability. Conduct regular inspections and testing to identify any potential issues and address them promptly.
4. Collaborate with Designers: Partner with our design team to understand their creative vision and provide input and suggestions on fabric and textile options that align with our brand aesthetic. Collaborate on new product development and ensure that all textiles are sourced in a timely manner.
5. Manage Inventory: Monitor inventory levels and work with the Purchasing team to maintain appropriate stock levels of all fabrics and textiles. Communicate any potential shortages or delays to avoid production delays.
6. Maintain Knowledge of Industry Trends: Attend trade shows and industry events to stay informed on new fabrics, textiles, and design techniques. Share knowledge and insights with the team to continuously improve our product offerings.
