1. Oversee all aspects of the receiving process, including but not limited to scheduling deliveries, tracking inventory, and inspecting merchandise for quality and accuracy.
2. Communicate with vendors, shipping companies, and other departments to ensure timely and accurate delivery of merchandise.
3. Maintain accurate records of all incoming shipments, including tracking numbers, purchase orders, and delivery dates.
4. Ensure all merchandise is received and stored in a safe and organized manner, following company procedures and safety guidelines.
5. Coordinate with the warehouse team to prioritize and distribute incoming merchandise to the appropriate departments.
6. Conduct periodic inventory audits to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
7. Collaborate with the purchasing team to resolve any issues with incorrect or damaged merchandise.
8. Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the receiving area.
9. Train and mentor new receiving team members, ensuring they understand and follow all company policies and procedures.
10. Continuously seek opportunities to improve and streamline the receiving process to increase efficiency and accuracy.
