  1. Consult with clients to understand their lighting needs and preferences.
  2. Provide expert advice and recommendations on lighting solutions based on clients' style and space.
  3. Design and curate lighting plans that enhance the overall aesthetic of a space.
  4. Stay up-to-date on current lighting trends, products, and industry developments.
  5. Collaborate with other team members, including interior designers and sales associates, to ensure a cohesive and coordinated design approach.
  6. Conduct on-site visits to assess lighting options and make necessary adjustments.
  7. Create detailed lighting proposals and quotes for clients.
  8. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to source lighting products and ensure timely delivery.
  9. Communicate and present lighting concepts and solutions to clients in a clear and professional manner.
  10. Maintain a high level of attention to detail and accuracy in all lighting designs and plans.
  11. Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction throughout the entire design process.
  12. Continuously strive to exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall success of the lighting department.
  13. Attend training sessions and workshops to further develop skills and knowledge in lighting design.
  14. Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines.
  15. Uphold the brand image and values of Restoration Hardware in all interactions with clients and colleagues.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Knowledge Of Lighting Design And Technology: A Lighting Specialist At Restoration Hardware Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of Different Types Of Lighting, Including Led, Halogen, And Incandescent, As Well As The Latest Lighting Technology.

  • Strong Customer Service Skills: As A Specialist, The Candidate Should Be Able To Provide Exceptional Customer Service And Assist Clients In Selecting The Right Lighting Solutions For Their Space. This Includes Listening To Their Needs, Offering Knowledgeable Advice, And Ensuring A Positive Shopping Experience.

  • Experience In Interior Design And Home Decor: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience In Interior Design And Home Decor, With A Keen Eye For Aesthetics And The Ability To Create Visually Appealing Lighting Designs That Complement The Overall Design Of A Space.

  • Technical Proficiency: The Lighting Specialist Should Possess Technical Skills To Properly Install And Troubleshoot Lighting Fixtures. This Includes Knowledge Of Electrical Wiring, Circuitry, And Other Technical Aspects Of Lighting Installation.

  • Excellent Communication And Teamwork: A Successful Lighting Specialist Should Have Excellent Communication Skills And Work Well In A Team Environment. This Includes Collaborating With Other Design Professionals, Communicating With Vendors, And Effectively Relaying Information To Clients.
