Supervisor of Surgical Technician

Renown Health is seeking an experienced and highly organized Supervisor of Surgical Technicians to join our dynamic team. This critical role requires someone with a passion for delivering exceptional patient care and a commitment to fostering a positive and collaborative team environment.The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of five years’ experience in a supervisory role in a hospital setting, as well as being a Certified Surgical Technician (CST) or equivalent qualification. They must have a proven track record of successfully leading teams and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws, regulations and policies.In addition to technical expertise and experience, the successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. They will need to demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and satisfaction, and have a desire to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee the staff of surgical technicians to ensure that patient care is of the highest quality.
2. Monitor surgical technician activities to ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and policies.
3. Develop and implement processes and procedures to improve efficiency and patient safety.
4. Lead surgical technician teams in the planning and implementation of surgical procedures.
5. Collaborate with other hospital departments to ensure patient satisfaction.
6. Monitor and evaluate the performance of surgical technicians and provide feedback to ensure a positive and productive team environment.
7. Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques and provide training and guidance to surgical technicians.
8. Act as a patient advocate and maintain a high level of confidentiality.
9. Troubleshoot any issues that arise during surgical procedures.
10. Coordinate with other departments to ensure the availability of necessary supplies and equipment.
