Sterile Processing Educator

Renown Health is seeking an experienced and passionate Sterile Processing Educator to join our team of healthcare professionals. As an integral member of our Sterile Processing department, the Educator will use their expertise to ensure that our Sterile Processing staff members are up-to-date on the most recent advances in Sterile Processing equipment, techniques, and technologies. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong knowledge of sterile processing practices, a commitment to providing high-quality patient care, and a desire to help our staff grow and succeed.Required Qualifications:* Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field* 5+ years of experience in Sterile Processing* Supervisory experience* Certification from the International Association of Healthcare Central Service Materials Management (IAHCSMM)* Knowledge of OSHA/JCAHO regulations and standards* Excellent written and verbal communication skills* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement training programs for sterile processing staff to ensure they are up-to-date on the latest advances in sterile processing equipment, techniques, and technologies.
2. Act as a resource for sterile processing staff to answer questions and provide guidance on specific issues.
3. Monitor staff performance to ensure adherence to standards of sterile processing.
4. Maintain records of staff training and certification.
5. Facilitate continuing education and professional development opportunities for sterile processing staff.
6. Ensure compliance with OSHA/JCAHO regulations and standards.
7. Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient safety and quality care.
8. Develop and implement policies and procedures for sterile processing.
9. Act as a mentor and provide leadership to sterile processing staff.
10. Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback.
