Sterile Instrument Technician

Responsibilities of a Sterile Instrument Technician:

1. Assist in the processing and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
2. Maintain and inspect inventory of medical instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
3. Assist in the identification of any unsterile items and take corrective action as necessary.
4. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
5. Maintain accurate records of all processed and sterilized items.
6. Monitor and track inventory levels and order additional supplies as necessary.
7. Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
8. Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
9. Provide ongoing training and education to staff members as needed.
10. Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
