
Sterile Instrument Technician

The ideal candidate will have the qualifications and experience necessary to maintain and process medical instruments and equipment to ensure patient safety. The Sterile Instrument Technician position requires a person who is organized and detail-oriented with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This role requires the ability to work collaboratively with a diverse team and to quickly adapt to changing situations in a fast-paced environment. The Sterile Instrument Technician must also possess strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills. Responsibilities of a Sterile Instrument Technician:
- Assist in the processing and sterilization of medical instruments and equipment in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Maintain and inspect inventory of medical instruments and equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist in the identification of any unsterile items and take corrective action as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of all processed and sterilized items.
- Monitor and track inventory levels and order additional supplies as necessary.
- Participate in quality assurance activities to ensure the highest level of patient care.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure patient safety and satisfaction.
- Provide ongoing training and education to staff members as needed.
- Utilize problem-solving skills to troubleshoot any issues that may arise.
High School Diploma Or Equivalent
Ability To Work Independently And As Part Of A Team
Previous Experience In A Sterile Services Environment
Knowledge Of Osha Requirements
Ability To Manage Multiple Tasks In A Fast-Paced Environment
Excellent Problem Solving And Critical Thinking Skills
