
Pharmacy Technician Oncology
Renown Health is seeking a qualified Pharmacy Technician Oncology who is passionate about patient care and eager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmacy and be knowledgeable in oncology medications and their applications. The Pharmacy Technician Oncology will provide support to the pharmacy department by performing duties such as compounding, packaging, and labeling medications, delivering medications, maintaining inventory, and communicating with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, as well as a thorough understanding of pharmacy operations and safety protocols.The ideal candidate should possess a minimum of two years of experience in a pharmacy setting, with at least one year of experience in an oncology pharmacy. They should also hold a valid state license or certification in pharmacy technology and a demonstrated knowledge of pharmacy law and regulations. The successful candidate will have a commitment to excellent customer service and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Compound, package, and label medications according to established protocols.
- Deliver medications to patients and other healthcare professionals in a timely and efficient manner.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records of all medications.
- Communicate effectively with physicians, healthcare professionals, and other staff members.
- Ensure compliance with all pharmacy laws and regulations.
- Provide excellent customer service to patients and other healthcare professionals.
- Work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Develop and maintain knowledge of oncology medications and their applications.
- Adhere to safety protocols for handling and storing medications.
- Monitor expiration dates and expiration processes of medications.
