Job Description

Renown Health is looking for a Clinical Documentation Specialist to join our team. As a Clinical Documentation Specialist, you will be responsible for improving the accuracy of medical records documentation for our patients. We are seeking an individual who is highly organized and detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills and a passion for helping others.The ideal candidate should possess an Associate's degree in a related field such as healthcare administration, medical coding, or health information technology. A combination of relevant experience and education may be considered. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience in a healthcare setting. Knowledge of medical terminology, coding, and ICD-10 guidelines is required. We are looking for someone with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Responsibilities of a Clinical Documentation Specialist:

  1. Ensure accuracy of medical records documentation for patients.
  2. Utilize medical terminology, coding, and ICD-10 guidelines appropriately.
  3. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to improve documentation accuracy.
  4. Monitor patient records for completeness and accuracy.
  5. Utilize problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and rectify inaccuracies.
  6. Maintain confidentiality of patient records.
  7. Develop and implement strategies to improve documentation accuracy.
  8. Assist with documentation audits and provide feedback to healthcare professionals.
  9. Provide training to healthcare professionals on documentation accuracy.
  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.

Job Qualifications
