In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and develop top talent within our organization.   1. Develop and implement talent acquisition strategies to attract top industry talent to Elsevier at Relx.
  2. Create and maintain a strong employer brand to enhance the company's reputation and attract top talent.
  3. Oversee the recruitment process and collaborate with hiring managers to identify and select the best candidates for open positions.
  4. Develop and implement onboarding programs for new hires to ensure a smooth and successful integration into the company.
  5. Design and implement employee retention strategies to create a positive and engaged workforce.
  6. Oversee performance management programs and provide guidance and support to managers in effectively managing employee performance.
  7. Develop and implement training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
  8. Analyze talent data and trends to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  9. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of talent and capability strategies with business objectives.
  10. Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations to support the company's growth and success.
  11. Manage and mentor a team of HR professionals to ensure alignment and achievement of departmental goals.
  12. Stay updated on industry best practices and trends in talent management and bring innovative ideas to the table.
  13. Foster a positive and inclusive work environment where employees feel valued and motivated to perform at their best.
  14. Communicate and report on talent and capability initiatives and outcomes to senior leadership and other stakeholders.
  15. Act as a brand ambassador, representing Elsevier at Relx and our values to external audiences.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Talent Management And Development: The Head Of Talent And Capability Should Have A Minimum Of 8-10 Years Of Experience In Designing And Implementing Talent Management Strategies, Succession Planning, Leadership Development, And Other Related Programs.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: This Role Requires Someone Who Can Effectively Lead And Manage A Team Of Talent And Capability Professionals, As Well As Collaborate With Other Senior Leaders And Stakeholders Across The Organization.

  • Expertise In Learning And Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Trends And Best Practices In Learning And Development, Including E-Learning, Blended Learning, And Other Innovative Approaches.

  • Proven Track Record Of Driving Results: The Head Of Talent And Capability Will Be Responsible For Developing And Executing Strategies That Have A Direct Impact On The Organization's Talent And Capability. Therefore, They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Delivering Measurable Results And Driving Positive Change.

  • Strategic Mindset: In Addition To Having Strong Operational Skills, The Candidate Should Also Possess A Strategic Mindset And Be Able To Think Critically And Analytically. They Should Have The Ability To Assess Complex Situations, Identify Areas For Improvement, And Develop Effective Solutions.
