
Space Environments Engineer
This position requires proactive work with design engineers to design a vehicle system compliant with space environments effects industry standards as well as troubleshooting and mitigating vulnerabilities when identified. Relativity Space avionics include cutting edge processors, high density memories, high-power loads, pyrotechnics, and sensitive analog sensors distributed throughout the launch vehicle. The Space Environments Engineer will help navigate best practices, performance testing, and issue mitigation on the Terran R avionics system. The successful candidate will have experience support the development, testing and mitigating space environments in a launch vehicle avionics that span multiple boxes with a broad spectrum of manufacturing technologies.
2+ years of experience
Prior experience in developing electronics systems that are robust to space environment effects.
Prior experience with lightning mitigation in aircraft or rockets.
Experience with simulation tools such as SPICE and HFSS.
Knowledge of space radiation effects on electronics.
