Job Description

As a Senior Data Privacy Regulatory Specialist at Reinsurance Group of America (RGA), you will play a key role in ensuring our company's compliance with global data privacy regulations.   • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of global data privacy regulations and their impact on RGA's operations
  • Advise senior management and other departments on data privacy compliance requirements and best practices
  • Conduct regular audits and risk assessments to identify potential data privacy vulnerabilities and recommend solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data privacy considerations are integrated into business processes and systems
  • Monitor changes in data privacy laws and regulations and proactively communicate updates and potential impacts to the organization
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data privacy inquiries from external regulators, customers, and other stakeholders
  • Lead the development and implementation of data privacy policies, procedures, and training programs for employees
  • Conduct internal investigations and respond to data privacy incidents, ensuring appropriate remediation and reporting
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in data privacy to continuously improve RGA's compliance program
  • Represent RGA in data privacy-related meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Data Privacy Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Global Data Privacy Regulations, Including But Not Limited To Gdpr, Ccpa, And Hipaa. They Should Also Stay Updated On Any Changes Or Updates To These Regulations.

  • Experience In Regulatory Compliance: The Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In A Regulatory Compliance Role, Preferably In A Similar Industry. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Ensuring Compliance With Data Privacy Regulations And Mitigating Potential Risks.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: A Senior Data Privacy Regulatory Specialist Should Possess Excellent Analytical Skills To Identify And Assess Potential Risks Associated With Data Privacy. They Should Also Be Able To Conduct Thorough Audits And Investigations To Ensure Compliance With Regulations.

  • Communication And Collaboration: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Interact With Various Stakeholders, Including Internal Teams, Clients, And Regulatory Authorities. They Should Also Be Able To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Develop And Implement Privacy Policies And Procedures.

  • Certification In Data Privacy: A Relevant Certification In Data Privacy, Such As Certified Information Privacy Professional (Cipp) Or Certified Information Privacy Manager (Cipm), Is Highly Preferred. This Certification Showcases The Candidate's Knowledge And Expertise In Data Privacy Regulations And Compliance.
