
Senior Assistant Actuary, Valuation

- Conduct actuarial analyses: Perform complex actuarial calculations and analysis to support business decisions and ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Manage financial data: Oversee the collection, validation, and analysis of financial data to ensure its accuracy and relevance in informing business decisions.
- Develop and maintain models: Create and maintain actuarial models to evaluate risk and assess financial performance, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Provide expert insights: Use your extensive actuarial knowledge and experience to provide expert insights and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams: Work closely with other departments, such as finance, underwriting, and product development, to ensure alignment and consistency in actuarial assumptions and methodologies.
- Monitor industry trends: Stay up-to-date with industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and inform business decisions.
- Mentor and train junior team members: Share your knowledge and expertise with junior team members to support their development and growth.
- Communicate findings and recommendations: Clearly communicate actuarial findings and recommendations to non-technical stakeholders, including senior management and clients.
- Drive process improvements: Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the actuarial function and work to implement them.
- Uphold company values: Represent the company's values of integrity, excellence, and teamwork in all interactions and decisions.
Bachelor's Degree In Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Or A Related Field.
Excellent Analytical, Problem-Solving, And Communication Skills.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In The Actuarial Field, With A Focus On Valuation.
Fellow Of The Society Of Actuaries (Fsa) Or Near Completion Of Fsa Designation.
Strong Understanding Of Insurance Principles, Financial Reporting, And Regulatory Requirements.
