
Intern - Actuarial
We are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Intern – Actuarial to join the Reinsurance Group of America (RGA). The Intern – Actuarial will play a key role in our company's actuarial operations, working closely with our experienced staff to gain knowledge and practical skills in the field. If you have a passion for learning and a desire to work in the actuarial field, this is the perfect opportunity to get your foot in the door.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, or Actuarial Science • Experience with actuarial software such as Prophet, AXIS, or Vision • Familiarity with actuarial principles, methods, and regulations • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to think strategically • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Strong attention to detail and data accuracy • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement actuarial models to calculate reinsurance premiums and analyze risk.
- Utilize actuarial software such as Prophet, AXIS, or Vision to analyze data and create effective actuarial models.
- Collaborate with experienced actuarial staff to gain knowledge and practical skills in the field.
- Research and recommend changes to actuarial principles, methods, and regulations.
- Develop presentations and reports to summarize results of actuarial analysis.
- Ensure accuracy of data used in actuarial models.
- Monitor and review actuarial models to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and changes in regulations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
