Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) is seeking a dynamic and driven Executive Director & Actuary to join our team as a key member of our Audit Pricing Valuation & Model Governance department. As the Executive Director & Actuary, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our pricing and valuation processes, while also providing strategic guidance to support our overall business objectives.   1. Lead the Audit Pricing Valuation & Model Governance department and provide strategic direction for the team.
  2. Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to drive business success.
  3. Ensure accuracy and integrity of pricing and valuation processes through rigorous oversight and evaluation.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support overall business objectives.
  5. Utilize strong analytical skills to identify opportunities for improvement and make data-driven decisions.
  6. Provide guidance and mentorship to team members to develop their skills and drive performance.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and developments to inform pricing and valuation strategies.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and regulatory bodies.
  9. Drive innovation and continuous improvement in pricing and valuation processes.
  10. Communicate complex actuarial concepts and findings to non-technical stakeholders.
  11. Oversee the implementation and maintenance of model governance processes.
  12. Ensure compliance with industry regulations and internal policies.
  13. Represent RGA at industry conferences and events to enhance the company's reputation and network with industry professionals.
  14. Collaborate with senior leadership to develop and execute the department's budget and business plans.
  15. Drive a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning within the department.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Actuarial Science: A Strong Educational Background In Actuarial Science Is A Must-Have Qualification For An Executive Director & Actuary At Reinsurance Group Of America. This Includes A Bachelor's Degree In Mathematics, Statistics, Or A Related Field, As Well As A Professional Actuarial Designation Such As Fellow Of The Society Of Actuaries (Fsa) Or Fellow Of The Casualty Actuarial Society (Fcas).

  • Extensive Experience In Audit Pricing Valuation: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Audit Pricing Valuation, Preferably In The Reinsurance Industry. This Includes A Deep Understanding Of Actuarial Pricing Methods, Reserve Calculations, And Experience With Modeling And Managing Complex Financial Risks.

  • Strong Leadership Skills: As An Executive Director, This Role Requires Strong Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Actuaries And Other Professionals. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Leading And Developing High-Performing Teams, As Well As The Ability To Communicate And Collaborate Effectively With Senior Management And Other Stakeholders.

  • Regulatory Knowledge And Compliance: Reinsurance Group Of America Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Executive Director & Actuary Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Regulations And Compliance Requirements. This Includes Knowledge Of Ifrs And Us Gaap Accounting Standards, As Well As Experience With Regulatory Filings And Audits.

  • Strategic Thinking And Business Acumen: This Role Requires A Strategic Thinker With A Strong Business Acumen. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Demonstrated Ability To Analyze Complex Data And Make Strategic Decisions That Drive Business Growth And Profitability. They Should Also Have A Thorough Understanding Of The Reinsurance Market And Be Able To Identify And Capitalize On New Business Opportunities.
