Job Description

We at Reinsurance Group of America (RGA) are looking for a highly motivated and highly qualified individual to fill the position of Assistant Actuary, US & Latin America Markets. This role requires an individual with a strong technical background and excellent communication and organizational skills. The successful candidate should have expertise in actuarial science, with a strong understanding of mathematical and statistical concepts, and a passion for problem-solving.The Assistant Actuary, US & Latin America Markets will be responsible for providing support to the entire actuarial team, and will be responsible for overseeing the development of actuarial models, setting up actuarial systems, and providing training and support to other actuarial staff. The successful candidate must be able to effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science or related field, and at least two years of experience as an Actuary in the US & Latin America markets. Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred. The successful candidate must also have a strong knowledge of actuarial software, and be proficient in Microsoft Office.If you are an experienced actuary looking to join a dynamic and growing team, then this is the perfect opportunity for you. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop actuarial models and set up actuarial systems.
  2. Provide training and support to other actuarial staff.
  3. Effectively communicate complex actuarial concepts to non-actuarial stakeholders.
  4. Maintain a high level of proficiency with actuarial software, and proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  5. Work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Stay up to date with changes in US & Latin American markets.
  7. Monitor and analyze changes in actuarial models.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with external actuarial organizations.
  9. Prepare reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  10. Participate in actuarial conferences and other professional development activities.
