Job Description

Regions Financial Co. is looking for a motivated and experienced Mortgage and Underwriting Compliance Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring that mortgage loan origination and underwriting processes are in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. We are looking for an individual with a strong understanding of mortgage compliance regulations, a commitment to accuracy and an eye for detail. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and communication skills, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field• 5+ years’ experience in mortgage banking, mortgage servicing, mortgage compliance and/or underwriting• Strong knowledge of applicable federal and state laws and regulations• Excellent communication and writing skills• Highly organized and detail-oriented• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities: • Monitor all mortgage loan origination and underwriting processes to ensure they are in compliance with all applicable federal and state regulations. • Review documents related to mortgages and underwriting to ensure accuracy and detail. • Develop and implement compliance policies and procedures. • Identify and address any compliance issues or risks. • Respond to questions and inquiries from internal and external stakeholders. • Prepare written reports and summaries to document compliance activities. • Facilitate training and education sessions for staff on compliance issues. • Keep abreast of changes to laws and regulations that affect mortgage and underwriting compliance. • Monitor industry best practices and suggest changes to ensure compliance. • Participate in industry conferences and events to stay up-to-date on compliance trends.
