- Conduct thorough and comprehensive vulnerability research on a regular basis to identify potential threats to our systems.
- Utilize expertise in reverse engineering, exploit development, and vulnerability analysis to assess and mitigate vulnerabilities.
- Work closely with team members to proactively identify weaknesses in our systems and develop solutions to address them.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest cyber security threats, trends, and techniques in order to effectively anticipate and respond to potential risks.
- Investigate and analyze reported vulnerabilities, determine their severity, and recommend appropriate remediation actions.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams to ensure company-wide security protocols and processes are being followed.
- Develop and maintain documentation of identified vulnerabilities, remediation steps, and best practices for future reference.
- Train and mentor junior vulnerability researchers, sharing knowledge and expertise to enhance the overall skill set of the team.
- Participate in red team exercises and penetration testing to identify potential vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Communicate findings and recommendations to upper management and stakeholders, highlighting potential risks and proposing effective solutions.
- Continuously assess and improve vulnerability research processes and methodologies to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive information.
- Stay updated on industry standards and regulations related to cyber security and ensure compliance within the organization.
- Represent the company and its values when interacting with external parties and stakeholders.
Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Vulnerability Research: A Senior Vulnerability Researcher At Raytheon Technologies Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of The Latest Techniques, Tools, And Methodologies Used In Vulnerability Research. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Identifying And Exploiting Vulnerabilities In Complex Systems.
Proficiency In Reverse Engineering: The Candidate Should Be Proficient In Reverse Engineering Techniques And Have Experience Working With A Variety Of Software And Hardware Platforms. They Should Be Able To Analyze And Understand Complex Code To Identify Potential Vulnerabilities.
Strong Programming Skills: A Senior Vulnerability Researcher Should Have Strong Programming Skills In Languages Such As C, C++, Assembly, And Scripting Languages Like Python, Perl, And Bash.
