
Material Program Manager

- Develop and implement material strategies for multiple programs, considering cost, schedule, and technical requirements.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential material risks and issues.
- Monitor and track material budgets and costs, providing regular updates to program leadership.
- Manage supplier relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure the best value for the company.
- Continuously evaluate and improve material processes and procedures to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure material requirements are clearly defined and met.
- Communicate with program leadership and stakeholders on material status, risks, and opportunities.
- Lead regular meetings with suppliers to review performance and address any concerns.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as government regulations.
- Mentor and develop junior team members to build a strong material program management team.
- Stay current on industry trends and market conditions to inform material strategies.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to accurately forecast material costs and budgets.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize material management processes.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with suppliers and customers.
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Materials Management, Procurement, Or Supply Chain Management.
Strong Understanding Of Procurement Processes And Procedures, Including Government Regulations And Compliance.
Experience With Managing Material Budgets And Cost Savings Initiatives.
Excellent Communication, Negotiation, And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams.
