- Develop and maintain material budgets for projects, ensuring cost efficiency and adherence to financial targets.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify material requirements and develop procurement strategies.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Conduct regular supplier performance evaluations and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Monitor material inventory levels and track material usage to identify potential risks or opportunities for cost savings.
- Work closely with project managers to understand project timelines and ensure timely delivery of materials to meet project deadlines.
- Communicate regularly with stakeholders to provide updates on material status, potential risks, and cost and schedule performance.
- Identify and implement process improvements to streamline material management processes and increase efficiency.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for material management processes.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments in material management and supply chain operations.
- Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms and pricing for materials.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure materials meet required standards and specifications.
- Prepare and present material management reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies related to material procurement and management.
- Mentor and train junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge in material management and supply chain operations.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Material Program Management Or Supply Chain Management.
Strong Project Management Skills, Including Experience With Budgeting, Forecasting, And Risk Management.
Knowledge Of Government Contracting And Procurement Processes, Including Far And Dfar Regulations.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Negotiate And Collaborate With Suppliers And Internal Stakeholders.
