
Material Program Manager

- Develop and implement material procurement strategies for all programs, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of materials.
- Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing to maximize value for the company.
- Monitor and analyze inventory levels to ensure adequate supply for production needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain accurate material demand forecasts.
- Create and maintain material budgets, identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Monitor and track material orders, ensuring on-time delivery and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with program managers to understand material needs and priorities.
- Conduct regular reviews of material performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures related to material procurement and management.
- Stay updated on industry trends and developments in material procurement and supply chain management to identify potential opportunities for the company.
- Train and mentor junior team members on material program management best practices.
- Communicate regularly with upper management on material program status, issues, and recommendations.
- Participate in cross-functional meetings to provide input and support on material-related topics.
- Collaborate with finance team to ensure accurate and timely reporting of material costs and budget updates.
- Continuously evaluate and improve processes and procedures related to material procurement and management.
Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Material Management And Procurement Within A Manufacturing Or Defense Industry.
Strong Understanding Of Government Procurement Regulations And Compliance, Including Itar And Far.
Excellent Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Suppliers.
Experience With Enterprise Resource Planning (Erp) Systems And Proficiency In Microsoft Excel And Other Data Analysis Tools.
