If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as the Associate Director of State and Local Government Relations at Raytheon Technologies.In this role, you will play a crucial part in shaping the company's relationships with state and local governments across the country. You will serve as a key liaison between Raytheon Technologies and these stakeholders, advocating for policies and initiatives that align with our business goals and priorities. As a leader in our government relations team, you will have the opportunity to influence and drive impactful change in the ever-evolving landscapes of state and local government.We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven individual with at least 8 years of experience in government relations, preferably in the defense or aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the political landscape at the state and local levels, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.   1. Develop and implement a comprehensive state and local government relations strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and priorities.
  2. Serve as the primary liaison between Raytheon Technologies and state and local government officials, maintaining strong relationships and advocating for the company's interests.
  3. Monitor and analyze legislative and regulatory developments at the state and local levels, providing timely updates and recommendations to internal stakeholders.
  4. Represent the company at government meetings, hearings, and events, effectively communicating our policies and initiatives.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and advocacy efforts.
  6. Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry associations, and community leaders.
  7. Develop and maintain a network of contacts and resources to support government relations efforts.
  8. Provide guidance and support to regional teams on state and local government relations issues, ensuring consistent messaging and approaches.
  9. Develop and implement effective grassroots advocacy initiatives to engage employees, customers, and other stakeholders in the company's government relations efforts.
  10. Monitor and track state and local legislation and regulations, providing timely updates and analysis to internal stakeholders.
  11. Prepare and deliver presentations and briefings to inform internal stakeholders on relevant government relations issues.
  12. Stay current on industry trends, best practices, and emerging issues related to state and local government relations.
  13. Collaborate with the federal government relations team to ensure alignment and consistency in messaging and advocacy efforts.
  14. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and other relevant forums to build relationships and promote the company's government relations efforts.
  15. Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Political Science, Public Policy, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Government Relations Or Public Affairs, Preferably At A National Or State Level.

  • In-Depth Knowledge Of State And Local Government Processes, Legislative And Regulatory Procedures, And Political Landscape.

  • Strong Communication And Negotiation Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Represent The Company's Interests To Government Officials And Stakeholders.
